Jack Auen is an American filmmaker and producer from Baltimore, Maryland. As Co-Founder of the filmmaking collective COSMIC SALON with collaborator Kevin Walker, they work across genres and aesthetics to create vision-driven films whose themes strive to be both timeless and modern.
His short films have screened at prestigious film festivals around the world including the International Film Festival Rotterdam, New Directors / New Films, Sarajevo, Thessaloniki, Drama, Lago Film Festival, London Short Film Festival, Rio di Janiero, The Athens International Film and Video Festival, the Woodstock Film Festival, and many others.
His debut feature film CHRONOVISOR will premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2026.
His upcoming feature The Projectionist which he produced, is written and directed by Alexandre Rockwell (In the Soup, Four Rooms, Sweet Thing), executive produced by Quentin Tarantino, and will premiere as the opening night film at the Slamdance Film Festival in 2026
He received his BA in Psychology from Yale University and is a graduate student at NYU’s Stern and Tisch schools in their dual MBA/MFA program. He currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
