Jack Auen is an American filmmaker and producer from Baltimore, Maryland. As Co-Founder of the filmmaking collective COSMIC SALON with collaborator Kevin Walker, they work across genres to create films that sit at the intersection between the material and the spiritual.
His films have screened at film festivals around the world including the International Film Festival Rotterdam, BFI London, Viennale, Visions du Réel, New Directors/New Films (co-presented by MoMA and Film at Lincoln Center), the Jeonju International Film Festival, the Thessaloniki Film Festival, the Sarajevo Film Festival, the Los Angeles Festival of Movies, and the Gijón Film Festival, among others.
His debut feature film CHRONOVISOR premiered at the 55th International Film Festival Rotterdam in January. It received praise in the New York Times, New York Magazine, Film Comment, the Brooklyn Rail, IndieWire, MUBI, and various other publications.
He also produced The Projectionist the latest feature film written and directed by Alexandre Rockwell (In the Soup, Four Rooms, Sweet Thing), and executive produced by Quentin Tarantino. It premiered as the opening night film at the Slamdance Film Festival in 2026.
He received his BA in Psychology from Yale University and is a graduate student at NYU’s Stern and Tisch schools in their dual MBA/MFA program. He currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
